I’m writing on behalf of Age UK Northamptonshire, an independent, local charity supporting older people across the county.
I coordinate our Telephone Befriending Service, which provides free social / friendship calls to older local residents who are isolated or feel lonely. We are keen to raise awareness of this valuable service and recruit new volunteers so that we can continue to grow, reach more older people, and provide the friendship, social connection and support that can make a real difference, particularly in an increasingly digital world.
I was wondering if it might be possible to display our poster, flyer, or both on your community noticeboard, or anywhere else you feel may be appropriate to help raise awareness among local residents. I have attached copies for your consideration. If there is a specific process to follow, I’d be very grateful if you could let me know.
