The Parish Council is aware of the increasing concerns about the excessive speed of some vehicles through the village.
We are currently seeking the introduction of a 20mph signs around the School area in North Street.
In addition we are seeking improved signage and traffic calming measures on the roads leading into the village.
In conjunction with Wilby Parish Council, we jointly have access to a Speed Indicator Device (SID).
SID’s are ideal for giving interactive speed indication to drivers in many varied circumstances, industrial sites, schools, colleges, hospitals, private roads, caravan parks and in fact anywhere road safety is a assailant consideration.
The radar speed signs has a proven ability to positively influence driver behaviour, reduce speeding by drawing attention to local limits. These radar speed signs will all operate from battery, mains or solar supplies and may be mobile of fixed configurations.
The council however, needs willing volunteers to deploy the sign at various locations throughout the village.
